Timber Craft Sawmill started with a simple idea: do solid work, treat people right, and build this business one project at a time. What began with a portable Woodmizer mill and a love for woodworking has grown into a small, dependable operation serving Rusk County and the surrounding area.
I’m building Timber Craft steadily, focusing on quality, communication, and the kind of projects where craftsmanship matters.
My name is Brian Kelley, and along with running Timber Craft, I’m also a licensed professional engineer. I plan to offer limited consulting services in the future for local governments and infrastructure projects.
My wife and I also run the Jayna Kelley Memorial Foundation, which is a 501c.3 non-profit supporting children and families in our community. A portion of Timber Craft’s profits will help fund that work each year — giving back is an important part of our family.
For now, Timber Craft is focused on custom sawing and outdoor projects, but I’m always open to conversations about upcoming needs in the community.
I run a Woodmizer LT35HD, which lets me mill boards, beams, and live‑edge slabs up to 26" wide and 21' long. For oversized logs, I also use an Alaskan mill to cut slabs up to 36" wide — perfect for tabletops, mantels, and one‑of‑a‑kind pieces.
I can flatten slabs with my router sled and create finished pieces like epoxy tables, river tables, and charcuterie boards.
Along with custom sawing, I take on practical outdoor and home projects, including:
These are the kinds of jobs where a hands‑on, owner‑operated approach makes a difference. I take the time to listen, communicate clearly, and do the work the right way.
